Hereford, 1964-1965, ff.1-7: correspondence between Mark Hodson, Bishop of Hereford, and Michael Ramsey, Archbishop of Canterbury, about the possible creation of a suffragan see and a possible increased stipend for the existing Assistant Bishop, Arthur Partridge.

Leicester, 1965, ff.8-9: correspondence between Archbishop Ramsey and Ronald Williams, Bishop of Leicester, about suffragans and Bishop Williams' wish to retain his two Assistant Bishops instead.

Lichfield, 1964, ff.10-11: request from Streeton Reeve, Bishop of Lichfield, to Archbishop Ramsey for a third suffragan see to be considered .

Lincoln, 1964, ff.12-13: letter from Kenneth Riches, Bishop of Lincoln, informing Archbishop Ramsey that he had no need for a further suffragan.

Liverpool, 1964, ff.14-15: letter from Clifford Martin, Bishop of Liverpool, saying that he had no need of another suffragan but that a returning missionary bishop would be useful.

Manchester, 1964, ff:19-20: letter from William Greer, Bishop of Manchester, setting out the position with regard to suffragans in Manchester.

Newcastle, 1964, ff.18-19: letter from Hugh Ashdown, Bishop of Newcastle, putting the case for no additional assistance.

Norwich, 1964-1967, ff.20-30: correspondence about the creation of a third suffragan for the Norwich diocese including letters from Launcelot Fleming, Bishop of Norwich, Archbishop Ramsey, John Hewitt and Robert Beloe.

Peterborough, 1964-1968, ff.31-39: correspondence between Cyril Easthaugh , Bishop of Peterborough, and Archbishop Ramsey about the possible creation of suffragan sees and the appointment of the Rt. Revd. Archibald Graham-Campbell as a full-time Assistant Bishop.

Portsmouth, 1966-1967, ff: 40-60: correspondence between Sir Ronald Harris, John Phillips, Bishop of Portsmouth, Robert Beloe, Archbishop Ramsey and Lord Silsoe concerning the appointment of L.H. Woolmer, Bishop of Lahore, as Assistant Bishop in the diocese of Portsmouth, and the augmentation of his stipend.

Rochester, 1964-1965, ff.61-69 correspondence between David Say, Bishop of Rochester, and Archbishop Ramsey about the possible creation of a suffragan see of Bromley to cover the new London boroughs of Bexley and Bromley, with a note that the shape of the diocese was likely to be altered in the recommendations of the Arbuthnot Report.

St. Albans, 1964-1967, ff.70-97: correspondence between Michael Gresford Jones, Bishop of St. Albans, Sir John Arbuthnot, Archbishop Ramsey, Robert Beloe, K.A.L. Argent and Lord Silsoe about a second suffragan, population increase in the diocese becasue of the New Towns and new areas, the proposals of the Arbuthnot Report, and the revival of the dormant suffragan see of Hertford.
