The first volume (MS 4949) is prefaced by a letter to Gurney from F E P [Frederick Edward Palmer] S Langton (vicar of the Church of Our Most Holy Redeemer, Clerkenwell), 22 Nov 1934, thanking him for the loan of books and referring to the new missal, devised by a committee on which the C.L.A. The sixth volume (MS 4954) is a large edition of 'Missale Anglicanum: the English Missal' (W Knott, 1922) with interleaved annotations.
