To sort search results by OrderNo, Title, or Date, click on the appropriate column heading.

To scroll through the list of results use the Next/Previous links.

To view an item in full click on the OrderNo link of the record. Once you have opened a record in full you will also see, above the record, a set of links to the higher levels of the record family which will tell you more about the collection to which the record belongs. You also have the option while a record is open in full to view its position in the hierarchy, this can be done by clicking on the Order No field.

To return to your list of results click on Search Results at the top of the record.

Please note that parts of the Manuscripts sequence (i.e. with the reference code MS.) comprise single items, and there will be no other material which shares the same provenance.

If the catalogue record you are viewing is linked to any particular Names (persons, corporate bodies or families) or Places, a summary of the record(s) in that other database will be listed at the bottom of the screen. To see the full details of that Name or Place, click the numbered link on the left hand side.

Selecting Fonds in the Level field, combined with the reference of the archive in OrderNo, will isolate the collection level catalogue entry, i.e. the overview, of the whole archive. For instance, Fonds plus ECE in OrderNo, will produce the overview of the archive of the Ecclesiastical Commissioners for England.
