RelationshipsSubordinate to General Synod in modern times: the Convocations continue to exist, and although most of their powers were transferred to the General Synod, they do retain some residual rights.
InternalStructuresConsists of an Upper House and a Lower House. The chairman and spokesperson is the Prolocutor.

In 1886 an advisory House of Laymen was established. Provision for it to meet jointly with the equivalent body in the York Convocation was made in 1898. This was succeeded by the Representative Church Council formed in 1903.
