DescriptionPapers and correspondence with Chris Lawrence and Saul and Pilar Cruz concerning the work of a Christian community development project Armonia, initially established to work with the urban poor in Jalalpa Ravine, Mexico City, later expanding to other poor communities in Mexico. The papers primarily concern the various programmes operated by Armonia, and their efforts to raise funds.

Includes information about the Armonia Warehouse project (ff. 2-6); the John Stott Revolving Fund for the Thirsty (ff. 7-11); a request for assistance in arranging scholarships for Armonia employees to attend the 'Christian in the Modern World' course at the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity in 1997 (ff. 12-13); details of a visit to the United Kingdom by Saul and Pilar Cruz in 1992 (ff. 27); newsletters and correspondence concerning an application for charitable status and the building of new housing in 'The Ditch' (ff. 29-37); arrangements for a visit of Saul and Pilar Cruz to Britain in 1990 (ff. 42-52); the building of an Urban Transformation Centre in Jalalpa (ff. 53-57, 61-66); correspondence concerning John Stott's level of involvement with Armonia (ff. 38-40, 68, 70); the Cruzs' attendance at the 'Christian in the Modern World' course at the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity in 1987 and the establishment of Armonia [Harmony] in February 1988 (ff. 79-84).

Also contains Armonia's 1990 report entitled 'God's healing for broken lives in an oppressed and neglected community' (ff. 41), and a letter from Stott to the Geneva Global Incorporated requesting assistance for Armonia, 2004 (ff. 1).
