DescriptionFr. Benson explains, that despite his inability to return to England he will always remain 'in perfect unity' with the Society and hopes the Society will always be 'living with the life of God'.

He continues, writing of a letter he received from Bishop Seymour and Bishop Doane, describing it as being 'very strong' in raising four points against 'the Bishop' [Phillips Brooks in connection with his consecration as the Bishop of Massachusetts]; he hopes it will have the effect of making the Bishops more careful in future.
