Philip Haynes, David Sheppard, Bishop of Woolwich, Mervyn Stockwood, Bishop of Southwark and Geoffrey Tiarks, Bishop of Maidstone about the refusal of the Saudi Arabian Embassy to accept a certificate of baptism as proof that the visa applicant was a Christian and request, instead, for a letter from a parish priest; letter from Archbishop Ramsey to Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Helaissi, the Saudi Ambassador, assuring him that baptism is the definitive mark of being a Christian and a certificate of baptism a reliable guarantee, with reply.
