Ends imperfectly 169b: Cuius itaque pater et patruus mere-
valdus et walferus merciorum incliti reges domus dei
decorem et gloriam oppido diligentes adeo ibi domum in
cuius curam ipsa iam ordinata fuit abbatissa largis prediorum
possessionibus ampliabant uariis rerum opulentiis.

The book ended at this point when the xvth-cent. list of con-
tents was written. On the last page are scribbles and at the bottom
a note (xv):

PhysicalDescriptionVellum, 12 3/4 x 9 3/4, double columns of 35 lines in a large clear upright black hand. Large initials in blue with red penwork.
Calf binding, pr. 3s. 6d.
Collation: 1(10)-11(10) (wants 4-7, supplied on blank paper) 12(10)-17(10).
Foliation incorrect by one after 73. Quires 11 and still more 12 are soiled and shrunk.
2nd folio opens with the words: suo optimus.
CustodialHistoryThe presence of the miracles of S. Thecla at Lanteglin and of an otherwise unknown Life of S. Milburga (Wenlock) suggest a western origin for the book.
