Printed, with marginal notes in manuscript recording divergences in the edition of 1552. The notes are in the hand of Edmund Gibson (1669-1748), Lambeth Librarian and afterwards Bishop of London.
The Ordinal was drawn up by order in Council, 31 January 1550. Text and publication were overseen by Thomas Cranmer, Archbishop of Canterbury. |

Removed from the Lower Library [where printed books were kept] by order of the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1741, and recorded as MS. 865 in an addition to David Wilkins' catalogue of the Lambeth manuscripts (LR/F/40). |
