Description 'A summary view of the proceedings against Mr. Whiston, as they relate to the Court of Arches'.
An account of attempts to bring proceedings in the Court of Arches against William Whiston (1667-1752) natural philosopher and theologian, whose publications were considered heretical (anti-Trinitarian and blasphemous). The case was brought by John Pelling, D.D. in 1712. When the Court of Arches declined to accept the case Pelling appealed to the Court of Delegates in 1713.
