Beckwith, now himself a prisoner, had promised that if the Earl bought his land part of the proceeds should be applied to the writer's release. Petitions the Earl to settle the purchase, and mentions a promise of favour to him as bearer of a letter from the Earl of Lincoln settling the case between the Earl's brother Henry Talbot and one Thimblebie. 1p.
