Title'A Tour Round the World' by Roger William H. Dalison

DescriptionPrinted book (60 pages) bound with manuscript letters. The volume describes his trip, taken for health reasons. The letters, written on board ship and from Australia, New Zealand and the USA, are largely to his mother but include a final one to his sister Maud, referring to their mother's death. A letter of recommendation to the Archbishops and Bishops of the Provinces of South Africa, Australia and New Zealand from John [Wordsworth], Bishop of Salisbury, and a covering note to Dalison, accompany the volume.
AdminHistoryRoger William Hammond Dalison (1860-1939) was vicar of Powerstock, Dorset. His wife [Lucy, d. 1935: see 'The London Gazette', 19 July 1935, 4724] was sister of Bishop Montgomery of Tasmania.
