Included are baptisms, marriages, confirmations, ordinations, consecrations of bishops, conferrals of Lambeth diplomas and degrees, memorial and thanksgiving services, devotional days for bishops, and services in association with Lambeth Conferences and various Church societies. Notable occasions include the presentation of an enkolpion by the Holy Synod of Constantinople, 1921 (f. 6r); dedication of a font in memory of Mary Benson, 1921 (6v); dedication of a Church Army van, 1922 (ff. 10r-10v); memorial service for A.C. Benson, 1925 (ff. 22v, 24v); farewell services on the retirement of Archbishop Davidson, 1928 (f. 45v); services in a temporary chapel following the bombing of Lambeth Palace Chapel 1943-54 (ff. 71r-76r), including the reception into the Church of England of Philip Mountbatten, afterwards Duke of Edinburgh, 1947 (f. 72r) and services with the royal family during the illness of King George VI, 1951 (f. 74r); the rededication of the restored Chapel in the presence of the royal family, 1955 (ff. 77r-79r). Numerous orders of service are inserted.
