| Acquisition | MS. 4267, ff. 1-8, 19-46 were purchased at Sotheby's 16 December 1996, lots 40-41, 43-46, having been sold previously by Fairhurst at Sotheby's 4 June 1946 amongst lots 380-392. The remainder were purchased from the heirs of James Fairhurst in 2000. These acquisitions were made with the support of the National Heritage Memorial Fund, The V. and A. Purchase Grant Fund, The Friends of the National Libraries, and The Friends of Lambeth Palace Library. |
