DescriptionAn armorial depicting the achievements of arms of Charles II and 158 English peers.
The arms (shields of arms with supporters and crests) are blazoned and grandly displayed within wide borders of black ink, one to each folio size page. The verso of each leaf is blank.
The armorial was compiled over a period from 1664 to 1673 and mainly contains arms of peers living during these years. Blank leaves were left for addition within each rank of the peerage. As a result of revision during these years two peers are included twice (ff. 54 and 134; ff. 62 and 126).
