DescriptionThe Proceedings at Large in a Cause between His Grace Frederick, Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, Plaintiff, against John Suter, Defendant, which was Tryed in the Court of Common Pleas in Westminster Hall by a Special Jury, before The Right Honourable Sir William De Grey, Knight, Lord Chief Justice, upon a Feigned Issue agreed on by the parties, on Friday December the 6th 1776. Faithfully transcribed from the Short hand taken by me William Blanchard, No. 4 Dean Street, Fetter Lane.'

The trial concerned the liability of Lambeth Palace for payment of poor rates, and was decided in favour of the Archbishop.
