DescriptionMinutes of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts recording the business of the Society and including abstracts of letters from the Society's missionaries in America and elsewhere.
From the papers of Thomas Secker, Archbishop of Canterbury and President of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel 1758-68.
The minutes are written in several hands, and on paper of varying size, and were supplied to the Archbishop after each meeting; a number have endorsements in his hand.

An earlier index to the minute books, compiled by Samuel Wayland Kershaw, Lambeth Librarian, in 1890, is preserved as LR/F/45a. Each of the three volumes is indexed separately. There is a separate index of wills (ff. 91-92) and separate indexes of places for each volume. An introduction to the index notes that the subjects chiefly under consideration are:
