DescriptionMinutes, accounts and papers of the Commissioners named in the Brief of William III dated 12 March 1698/9 for the relief of the Vaudois and French refugees. The Commissioners were chaired by Thomas Tenison, Archbishop of Canterbury.

The Vaudois (also known as the Waldenses or Waldensians) of Piedmont and south-eastern France suffered merciless persecution in the seventeenth century. Over 3,000 were exiled from Piedmont to southern Germany in 1698, evoking sympathy amongst fellow Protestants in England and elsewhere.
