AdminHistoryA principal commission of the General Synod. In response to resolutions by the Convocations on October 1954, a standing Liturgical Commission was appointed. Its functions include: preparing forms of service, advising on experimental forms of service and development of liturgy, exchanging information with other churches and promoting development of the liturgy.

The Liturgical Commission became a permanent commission of the General Synod in 1971.

There are frequently working groups under the Commission, but most of these do not generate their own set of documentation, rather they report up to the Commission.
