DescriptionA catalogue of 'modern books' in Lambeth Palace Library, compiled by Samuel Wayland Kershaw, Lambeth Librarian 1868-1910.

The catalogue was begun after 1883, when the Tait bequest of books was received. Kershaw described it as a 'supplementary catalogue' and reported that the work was in hand in January 1885 (see his annual report in LR/E). Additions were made until the close of Kershaw's librarianship in 1910.

A note by Kershaw (f. i verso) states that 'The modern books in Lambeth Palace Library include all those not entered in the catalogue of the general Library, which is in 6 volumes being the Bodleian Catalogue interleaved'.

ff. i-iv. Note and contents lists by Kershaw.
