| Description | A register of readers in Lambeth Palace Library.
Entries from 1864 to 1867 (ff. 3-10) are in the hand of William Stubbs, Lambeth Librarian, afterwards Bishop of Oxford. Entries from 1868 to 1872 (ff. 11-22) are in the hand of Samuel Wayland Kershaw, Lambeth Librarian (but with an inserted leaf, f. 11, with entries by the readers themselves). Entries from 1873 to 1896 (with names, addresses and dates) are in the readers' own hands.
At f.1v is a list of Honorary Curators of Lambeth Palace Library appointed from 1870.
Pasted in at f. 11r are printed regulations for the Library approved by the Eccesiastical Commissioners in pursuance of an Order in Council of June 1880. Earlier printed regulations, in use in 1876, are pasted in at f. 36v.
At ff. 184-185 are notes on distinguished readers and visitors, in the hand of SW Kershaw, Lambeth Librarian. |
