DescriptionAccounts, memoranda, correspondence and papers relating to the binding of printed books, manuscripts and archives.
Numerous original papers are pasted into the volume, which was compiled by Samuel Wayland Kershaw, Lambeth Librarian 1868-1910.

ff. 1r-2r. Correspondence and papers relating to binding, especially the appointment of Evans & Witt as the Library's bookbinder, and the entrustment to them of the papers of Archbishop Longley for binding. Included is a letter of advice to Kershaw on this subject from William Henry Milman, Librarian of Sion College, and a letter to Kershaw from Archbishop Benson advising that in the rebinding of manuscripts every scrap of old end papers and fly leaves should be preserved and not replaced by new papers. 1888-90.
ff. 3r-26v. Invoices from Evans & Witt for bookbinding, on their own stationery. 1890-1909.
