Overseas visits to: Switzerland - YWAM (January), Singapore/Sabah - Malaysia (February), USA/Canada - SOMA (May), Norway/Sweden (June), Finland - the first conference of Lutheran world charismatic leaders (August), Kenya/Nigeria/Ghana (September) and Zaire - WCC team visit to the Kimbanghist Church (November/December).

Ministry took place at: Cambridge, Liverpool, Chard, Exeter, Crediton, Pendeen, Camborne, Liskeard, Newcastle, Worth Abbey, Brecon Cathedral, Wales, Bristol, Southwell, St. John's Nottingham, Newcastle, Cowdenbeath, Barcombe, Sutton, Lewin Road, Scotland (first Scottish Episcopal Renewal Conference), Leeds and Romford.

Conferences included: Cornwall, Lydia Fellowship, Durham, Southampton (RC), ARM at Swanwick, Coalville (RC), Lamplugh (twice) and CLC.

The first SOMA international conference was held in Singapore in February. A visit took place to Kenya with a view to holding the second SOMA international conference there. Harper co-hosted the 100 Huntley Street Canadian TV station in May with Bryn Haworth. Harper spoke at the Royal Albert Hall for the first time in January. With the closure of the Fountain Trust Edward England bought 'Renewal' magazine and Harper became editor again.
