Ministry in the UK included - Cornwall, Leicester, Cambridge, Coventry, Whatcombe House, Scotland and Sheffield. Overseas travel inccluded: USA (January), Zurich (June), Schloss Craheim, Germany (June), Norway (June), Holland (September), Sweden (October) and Rome (October).

Tom Smail joined the staff of the Fountain Trust in September and moved into Beauchamp Road. 1972 marked the start of the dialogue with the Roman Catholic Church, with the Pentecostal/Charismatic side hosting the first meeting in Zurich. Catholic Pentecostals held their first conference in England at Roehampton in July. This was organized by Bob Balkam an American living in the UK. The first European Leaders' conference was held at Schloss Craheim and was attended by David du Plessis and US Presbyterian - Rodman Williams. The Pulkingtons arrived in the UK and set up in Coventry.
