Description | Correspondence with and concerning Pastor Jan Michalec, a Slovak Lutheran Church Chaplain with the Czechoslovak Army. Includes discussion of his status as a refugee from Czechoslovakia; the lack of a suitable role in England; the assistance provided in gaining a visa to emigrate to Southern Rhodesia [Zimbabwe] and become a farmer. References are made to a grant from the Church Assembly Commission of the Christian Reconstruction in Europe to the Foreign Workers' Committee for Michalec, and his need for a recommendation stating he had neither Nazi nor Communist sympathies.
