Early meetings (1940s) include the following topics: the Indian situation; religious freedom; Christians and Jews; Amsterdam Assembly; refugee commission; interchurch aid; overseas students; international affairs; various visits, etc. (1950s) include: festival of Britain; overseas students and workers; review of the relationship between the BCC and CBMS; associates of the ecumenical movement; inter-church aid; international affairs, various conferences; publications; possible integration of World Council of Churches (WCC) and International Missionary Council (IMC); rural questions; joint responsibilities; special concerns; training for the ministry; mission and unity; youth; overseas service; various organisations; assemblies, etc. Also includes some related papers (1950s). Correspondence mostly 1940s and 1950s.

AdminHistoryThe Liaison Committee was set up by both the BCC and CBMS in 1944 to consider matters of common concern to them both and recommend procedures with regard to them. Members were made up of both organisations. The committee held its first meeting on 17 October 1944. Sometimes referred to as the Standing Liaison Committee.
